We are a pretty average young family in Vancouver BC, with pretty average athletic abilities. Our team consists of a dad who likes paddleboarding a little too much, a mom who is always prepared for anything the kids throw at her when we are out on adventures, Big Bro who explores the outdoors with curiosity and joy, Middle Bro who thinks he can do anything Big Bro can, and Baby Bro who drools.

Welcome to our blog.

I recently discovered your blog and it is literally one of the most informative websites I have seen for activities around Vancouver. Thanks for taking time and sharing these info in the times that I see AI agents repeat the same thing over and over. I hope you and your family continue your adventures and share them with us. Best wishes.
Hi Saba, thank you for such kind words! We always appreciate readers’ feedback and honestly it’s the fuel that keeps us going!
Hey, Billy – we recently became fans of SUPs. Before that we did some kayaking, but not on regular basis.
Your lakes overview is super impressive! Keep up the blog!
Hi! I have a young family and I’m stuck on the type of gear I should be purchasing – we’re going to cultus and golden ears this summer. I’m curious to know what tent you have/and your general sleep set up?
Hi Jo, good on you for planning to go camping with your young family! We had a few tents over the years, and we really like Woods Pinnacle 4. It’s a 3.5 season tent for 4 people at a really good price at Canadian Tire. It served us well with 2 adults and 3 kids until the youngest one turned about 4. Now we’ve upgraded to a 6-person tent. We use insolated backcountry sleeping pads that are light weight and can be packed down small, and sleeping bags with synthetic fill.
Hi there, Great site! Looks like you are having a lot of fun! I am writing because I would like to use a 5 year old pic you posted from a trip to a park in a staff report to elected officials (so no revenue purposes). Can you please email me back so I can show you which one I am thinking about and see if you’d be okay with this?
